A single-day music festival on Dja Dja Wurrung Country / Castlemaine, Town Folk celebrates the diverse, compelling and exciting sounds which live under the ever-widening umbrella of folk. Set across 4 stages, all a short walking distance from one another, this is a family-friendly afternoon-into-evening of performances, food, drinks and friendly faces.
Fionna has been involved with Town Folk Festival in one way or another since it's inception in 2022, and for the past 4 years has been Volunteers Manager, as well as supporting the development of the festival.
Lightning & Rhinestones is a mini-music festival inspired by the spirit of vintage country roadshows and the 1970s alt-country genre. Together, we create vibrant, accessible live music experiences that celebrate cosmic country, honky-tonk and alt-country - supporting emerging artists, local artisans and venues in inner-city and regional areas.
Fionna joined the Lightning & Rhinestones team in August 2025 - helping to produce the sold-out event at Castlemaine's Shedshaker Taproom in January 2026 - featuring live music, a vintage & artisan market (including flash tattoos fom Forest Creek Tattoo).
Lightning & Rhinestones will return to Castlemaine in 2027 - and there are plans to take the cosmic country back on the road, and interstate.
